The monthly free lecture series is designed to share knowledge and information on topics of interest related to history, world events and science with a focus on anything that has ties to the Hampton Roads area.
The monthly lectures are free and open to the public with first-come, first-served seating. After the presentation, there will be a Q&A session. Cocktails and whisky flights available for purchase as well as snacks & small plates.

Description: Zooplankton - animal drifters - are some of the smallest animals on Earth and yet have a huge impact on our globe! Come learn about the vast diversity of zooplankton species, shapes, and sizes; as well as the role that their fecal pellets (AKA poop) play on the oceanic food web and global climate! VIMS Outreach staff will have an exhibit including preserved zooplankton from around the world for attendees to observe and interact with.
